Event Viewer (Optional)
The Event Viewer allows for a visual display of the last 4 Events that have occurred on the M60 Alarm Dialler.
Events are either a dial-out due to an active alarm, or a call-back to cancel the M60 from continuing to dial-out.
Each Event will use a single line on the display.
Dial-out Event
A Dial-out Event will occur whenever the M60 has completed the dialling of a telephone number.
The Dial-out Event will always show the time followed by the Date and Month and then the first two active alarms separated by a comma. The last character on the line informs the user if there were no other active alarms or there are more active alarms than displayed.
Call-back/Cancellation Event
A Call-back Event will occur whenever the M60 has been called back to cancel further calls being made.
The event viewer will always show the last 4 events in sequence, running from oldest to newest.

SMS Alarm Dialer
The M30 SMS Alarm Dialer is an rugged machine specifically designed for commercial and industrial conditions. It has over 60 years of alarm dialer design experience behind it and was designed with input from our customers to make sure it had all the features and functions they required.
SMS Alarm Dialer
The M30 SMS features include 4,8,16 or 56 individual inputs each with their own SMS or voice message, IP56 enclosure, integrated mains failure and 24+hrs battery backup to name a few (check out a more in-depth list below).
SMS features;
The SMS feature is very easy to setup, when you are setting up the outgoing alarm contact numbers you just select whether you would like the recipient to get an SMS or a voice message, the rest is done automatically for you.
Each individual input on the M30 has its own individual SMS message, plus there is a universal machine identification, so you can easily tell where it has come from.
So for example instead of getting a generic “Channel 32 Alarm Condition” SMS message you get a much more useful “London Desalination Plant – Low Water in tank 22” message.
To make things easier for you we set up all the messages so you do not end up sitting there for hours typing in each message
Speech Messages;
If required you can also send voice messages to your alarm recipients, this can be over a standard PSTN lane line telephone or via the mobile GSM networks.
If you use the PSTN network you can setup the M30 to monitor the line and if it fails, to automatically switch to the GSM network to ensure you always get your alarms out.
As per the SMS messages each input can have its own individual speech message.
Software Features;
The M30 is designed and built by us in the UK and is fully customisable, so if you would like the M30 to work in a certain way or to have a unique function for your application then we will be happy to create it for you.
We also have lots of “off the shelf” upgrades available for example;
- More alarm numbers – As standard the M30 allows you to have up to 5 numbers in each roster (alarm contact list) but this can be extended to 10 or more.
- Auto Isolate – M30 automatically turns itself on and off at predefined times and days.
- Channel to Roster – Each input can dial a totally separate list of alarm contacts.
- Auto Test – The M30 will automatically make a test call on a predefined time and day.
Standard Features;
Below is a small subset of the standard features on the M30, for a more comprehensive list or information please contact us or visit the standard or optional features pages.
- 4,8,16 and 56 individual inputs/ channels.
- Individual user recordable speech and or SMS messages for each input.
- Voice, SMS, Pager alarm messages
- PSTN and or GSM phone network connection.
- Remote 247 Interrogation.
- Integrated Mains Failure detection.
- 24 Hour battery Backup

CTR Channel to Roster Software Upgrade
On a Standard M30 on when dialing it will select the Duty Roster set by the User (1,2 or 3). The current Duty Roster selected is shown on the top right of the LCD display (e.g. R1, R2, R3).
CTR Channel to Roster Software Upgrade
The Channel to Roster software works differently. When an alarm becomes active, instead of the M30 dialling out on one of the Duty Rosters, the M30 will automatically select a Roster linked to that alarm channel.
So for Example;
If Channel 1 is activated it will dial Roster 1.
If Channel 5 is activated it will dial Roster 5.
If Channel 10 is activated it will dial Roster 10 etc.
This software upgrade is great for when you need to communicate different alarms to different people for example the fire brigade for the fire alarm and the maintenance department for the Air Conditioning in the server room.
This new feature is available either as an option on a new M30 or as a simple software upgrade on a current machine.

SMS Dialler
The Packs Infotel M30 SMS Dialler is a purpose built and designed machine for the types of harsh environments typically found in industrial and commercial applications.
THe M30 comes with 4,8,16 or 56 individual inputs as well as all the standard features you would expect from an industrial SMS Dialler including 24 hour battery backup.
The M30 is used all over the world in a diverse collection of applications such as Pharmaceutical, Power Generation, Security, Cold Storage, Oil / Gas Refineries, Building Management, Food production, Industrial Process Monitoring as well as the protection of humans and livestock.
SMS Text Messages
Each individual input of the M30 from 4 to 56 inputs has its own SMS message that is user configurable to about 25 ASCII characters plus each M30 has a station identification, this gives you an easy way to identify from which machine the SMS arrived.
When the M30 goes into alarm and sends the SMS messages to the predefined contact list the end user will receive an individual text message for each input/channel that is in alarm. So for instance if inputs/channels 1, 2, 3 and 4 were active the recipient would get four SMS messages.
SMS and or Real Speech Messages over PSTN or GSM networks.
The M30 is unique as it allows you the flexibility of not just sending SMS messages but voice messages as well.
With the M30 you can also send user recordable real speech voice messages over a connected PSTN land line connection or with an optional module send them over the GSM networks as well.
The SMS Dialler version of the M30 comes with the same standard features such as
- 4, 8, 16 or 56 independent alarm inputs.
- 3 separate Rosters (dial out lists).
- SMS and or Real Speech Messages over PSTN or GSM networks.
- Integrated battery backup.
- Integrated Mains Failure.
- Integrated Alarm output.
- Fully Menu and keypad driven.
- Industry standard IP56 enclosure.
The above list is not definitive, also as the M30 is designed and built by ourselves in the UK if there is a feature or function you need for your particular applications then please let us know as we can normally create it for you.

SMS Text Message Feature
As of the winter of 2012/13 we have added another new feature to our M30 Alarm Dialler, the ability to send SMS messages in addition to the standard voice messages.
Each input/channel on the M30 can be configured with a user defined text message of around 25 ASCII characters – so instead of a recipient getting a useless “channel 1” alarm they can receive a useful “Mains Failure Boiler one” message.
This feature is in addition to the standard voice message option so you can still setup and send user recordable voice messages over the PSTN networks or over the GSM networks with the GSM converter.
Setup
Setting up your M30 is very simple; while entering your alarm contacts phone numbers you can select whether the recipient should get a SMS or a voice message.
The station identification is a maximum of 31 ASCII Characters.
All inputs can have an individual identifying text message of up to 25 ASCII characters.
Operation
When the M30 detects an active alarm/s it will send an individual SMS message for each active input to the predefined recipients. E.g. if 4 inputs are active then the on call engineer would get 4 SMS’s.
Message Example
Each SMS message is created from the M30’s Station ID (in <> brackets) and the inputs individual message and then followed by an *End of Message*.
E.g. If channel 1 is in alarm the M30 will send a text message as follows:
<Packs Infotel Office> Channel 1 Alarm Condition *End of Message*
or
<Sunningdale Landfill> Mains Failure Boiler one *End of Message*
For more information of the SMS upgrade visit the SMS Feature page or the SMS section on our Blog.

Auto Dialer with SMS text message
The M30 Alarm Auto Dialer is a commercial SMS dialer designed specifically for industrial and harsh environments including the monitoring and protection of humans and livestock.
The M30 is the tenth type of machine we have built since 1958; during that time we have incorporated many features that have been requested by customers probably making the M30 the most user friendly and feature comprehensive auto dialer on the market.
The M30 comes in 4,8,16 and 56 separate input/channel versions and can send either Real Speech messages or SMS text messages to the setup emergency contacts; this allows you to easily differentiate between an alarm call and an alert.
Text Messages / SMS messages
The M30 provides the user with a customisable text message for each input / channel – this means that not only can you easily differentiate between the alarms but you are not stuck with a generic “channel 5 alarm condition”, you can setup a more useful “Fire in hanger 2”.
When the M30 detects an active alarm condition it will automatically transmit an individual message for each active alarm channel. For example if 4 inputs are active you will receive 4 messages.
Voice and/or Text Messages
When setting up your machine you can easily specify the type of alarm message each contact will receive e.g. an SMS message or a Real Speech voice message, it is your choice.
M30 Features;
- 4,8,16 and 56 individual inputs.
- PSTN and GSM options.
- Fully LCD and menu driven.
- Remote Interrogation.
- Integrated 24 hr + battery backup
- Integrated mains failure
- Industrial IP56 rated enclosure.
The above list is not definitive and there are many more standard and optional features available. Also because the M30 is designed and built in the UK by ourselves if there is a special function you need, we can normally design and incorporate it into your new machine.
